The Guardian reported Thursday that despite the popularity boost Hamas experienced in the wake of the Shalit prisoner exchange, Gazans are finding it exceedingly difficult to ignore the corruption tainting their government; as well as its “single focus” on Israel, which takes precedence over any other pressing civilian issue

Turkey doubles down on Gaza development – Video


27-10-2011 05:41 Since the Israeli army’s attack on the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara in 2010, Ankara has become increasingly outspoken in support of Gaza, the blockaded Palestinian territory the ship was trying to reach. The support has come in financial terms as well: the estimated $2m per year the Turkish government donated to Gaza before the flotilla attack, has now jumped to $48m.
