Dragon Ball Heroes: Prison Planet (Anime) – TV Tropes

“Well then, the actors are all assembled, the most interesting experiment in the universe can finally enter it’s main phase!”

Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission, unnoficially known as Dragon Ball Heroes: Prison Planet is an animated adaptation of the Prison Planet saga of the video game Dragon Ball Heroes, created as promotional material for the game. It was only released in Japan. It is set some time after the Universe Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super.

Trunks has been missing, but a mysterious youth named Fu calling himself his friend appears before Goku, Vegeta and Mai, telling them Trunks has been captured in the Prison Planet, a set of planets where only the worst of the worst go. After going there, the heroes find something interesting: Goku from the Time Patrol, who wants to stop Fu, the creator of the Prison Planet.

In another place, Trunks has to deal with Cooler, who wants the Dragon Balls every prisoner has.

Every episode is six minutes long, unlike a typical anime episode. Like with other sagas from Heroes, there is a manga adaptation.

Is Earth a Prison/Slave Planet ? – Alien UFO Sightings

Science has proven that hominids have lived on this planet for a very long time. It has also proven that Homo Sapiens Sapiens (Cro-Magnon or Modern man) have not. Our ancestors were quarantined to Earthin order to stop, or at the very least isolate, the spread of mental illness, crime and murder. And, like our ancestors, we are prone to exhibiting the same criminal behavior and mental illness.

It is an inescapable part of our nature. It is not our fault, but ratherit was caused bydeviated genetic code. There is not a single human who is free of violent, lustful, vengeful, thieving and/or murderous thoughts. The unnatural horrors that humans experience on this planet are almost always caused by our species. Humans lie, steal, cheat, rape, murder and pollute. When we can no longer exert more dominion over air, water, land and animal, we victimize our own kind. We are a horrible menace to ourselves, to all the creatures of this planet, and to interstellar civilization.

The treacherous and murderous ways of human beings remain a very real threat to peace in the universe.

Earth was chosen to become a prison planet because of its remote location, varied climates, and the ability to support hominid life forms. Our ancestors were placed on different continents, selected for similarities to their physical characteristics and former climatic environments. Even though our ancestorsvaried in language, size, shape and color, all were Cro-Magnon. But, before being placed on Earth, our ancestors were stripped of all memory of their former lives.

It was believed that if the prisoners survived, they would do so in a primal state, co-existing by building relationships and possibly even interbreeding, with Earths native hominid species. It was a belief that was proven very wrong. We immediately began to dominate everything that came into our path. And, the sudden terrestrial appearance of modern man was on a scale so large, that it allowed Cro-Magnoids to drive Neanderthals, who had been at the top of Earths food chain for well over 200,000 years, to near global extinction within just a few thousand years.

At first, it appeared as though the Cro-magnon exile was proceeding as planned, but within a thousand years it became obvious that very serious oversights and assumptions had been made. The concept of prisoners remaining in a primal state was shattered when our ancestors began creating a microcosm of interstellar civilization. Earth, for the first time in its history, became witness to art, architecture, animal husbandry, agriculture, written languages, advanced mathematics, technology, law, religion and government. It also became witness to the atrocities of modern man. And, instead of interbreeding with other species, we began the systematic manipulation and/or destruction of other life forms.

Testing revealed that the surprising intellectual and technological development of our ancestors was the result of genetic memory, which caused us to experience intellectual reversion, rather than progression. This set off a very heated debate. One group called for the immediate extermination of our ancestors before they genetically remembered to the point of achieving interstellar flight, and possible re-infection of intergalactic civilization. The others were firmly convinced that, if given enough time, we would self-destruct and sought to simply observe and curtail our development.

An impasse was eventually reached, and further direct contact was forbidden. Continued observation and assessment of the prison planet was agreed upon, under strict conditions. It is important to note that one of the most significant turning points in last ten million years of Earths history occurred when our ancestors arrived on Earth, and began neanderthal annihilation.

Our incarceration on Earth was not agreed to by all. From the first days of our imprisonment on Earth, sympathizers in UFOs have slipped past security and assisted select civilizations. These extraterrestrial visits always resulted in dramatic leaps of intellectual ability and technological accomplishment. Unfortunately, virtually all of those civilizations and their advanced technologies met with very sudden disaster, and in the majority of the cases, extinction. The true causes remain unknown.

Lock Down on Prison Planet Almost Complete American …

A conversation about the article below: Patent Theft Steals From All Americans.A 530-page free PDF book with hundreds of hyperlinked documents is available here: Facebook CorruptionHow the US Military Control of Social Media Has Already Imprisoned You and Thrown Away the Key

Long before we could imagine the evil of the elite pedophile globalists of the world, they had already started locking down planet earth. They knew that humanitys wakening consciousness would jeopardize their planetary reign so they had to find a way to imprison our minds, direct our thinking, and limit our expanding consciousness.

They did it right under our noses.

They did it with our own hard-earned money.

While we were busy rearing our children and tending our families, they were quietly implementing Alinskys rules and Soros regimes. They are evil people who prey on our children, profit from our blood, rape our women and countries, and control us with their money illusions. They dont care about our national borders, cultural uniqueness, spiritual paths, or personal liberty. YOU are THEIRS to be farmed any way that brings them greater wealth, longer life, and wicked pleasures.

You have now awakened and realized that the nightmare is actually on the other side of your dreamy sleep. What do you do? First and foremost is to educate yourself on what has occurred since you stopped paying attention. The American Intelligence Media has been writing Citizens Intelligence Reports for several years now so that you can become highly informed patriots. Patriots need to know precisely who the enemy is, how they have weaponized the world, and what we can do to throw off our digital shackles.

The global elites know that education is the key to enlightenment. For this reason, you will find more and more outlets for self-education becoming censored and shut down by the planetary rulers. They simply cant have us know what is going on as there are far too many of us and too few of them.

In this Citizens Intelligence Report we want to alert you to the grave dangers of the weaponization of the internet and social media. A new technological revolution is taking place that will affect all of us. They make it sound so cool and fun the Internet of Thingsbut it is nothing more than a self-imposed prison that will eventually control you 24/7 once you connect into the network.

The more you participate in the automatic information fed directly to your devices that is personalizing your news, entertainment, business, and life-patterns, the more you will think you are free and fully informed. Actually, you will become more and more limited by what your pattern-of-life generates as your individualized algorithms. A mechanical virtual world will be created around you that becomes your personalized digital prison that, at first, may seem like digital heaven, but later rears its ugly head of control and enslavement. By then, it will be too late for any of us to break free.

Your new digital prison is being created every time you do an internet search, click a like button on Facebook, type a phrase into your computer, choose something to watch on television, or speak a word into your phone. Every speck of information that you participate in is used to make your personalized digital life-pattern profile.

Even your bank account and everything you spend is being gathered in an NSA program called Marina [1] that knows so much about you that when you get into your car on a day you have a weekly appointment, your phone automatically pings the route and distance to your destination.

Your phone can also activate all your devices that are connected to the Internet of Things. As you approach your house with your phone, your garage door opens automatically as the lights in the house come on and the house alarm is turned off while your coffee maker starts and your TV comes on with your usual show as the heating pad in your easy chair turns on to your favorite setting.

There is no end to the machine intelligence support you can get from mechanically augmented reality. Now Facebook and its fake, phony, stooge inventor Mark Zuckerberg wants you to put on a 3-D visor and enter a self-created virtual reality world where it feels you are free to do as you please.

We have created this world by being lazy and not asking the hard questionswho owns and controls this technology, what is the ultimate goal of the Internet of Things, does this technology serve or enslave humanity? Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Alphabet has bragged about this new system that claims it is ready to go.

Google, somehow, morphed into a mother company that is named Alphabet which owns all 26 subsidiaries of Google, including the only AI on the planet called Google Deep Mind. Alphabet seems to have unlimited money and unlimited technology patents that are supported wholesale by Wall Street and the U.S. military-industrial complex.

Essentially, Google has always been owned and operated by the dark side of our military-industrial complex. Like Cisco Systems, Inc. before them, Google (Alphabet) was incubated through the U.S. Defense Advance Research Project Agency (DARPA) and the CIAs private corporate venture capital company called In-Q-Tel. (Ask yourself how it is that a government entity can hold private companies and enjoy private profits outside of Congressional oversight, but we digress.)

Google, Cisco, Facebook, Twitter, and most other search engines and social networks all run on allegedly open source code given out by DARPA/In-Q-Tel to universities and corporations to develop. Open source means free to the user without the need to pay royalties or fees to the inventor or creator. Basically, whoever is able to take this weaponized open source code (with encryption back door keys already built in) and develop it for the consumer wins the military contracts.

Then Wall Street (Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase usually) sweeps in with venture capital, and in short time values the new tech company in the tens and hundreds of billions. After that, the banks loan whatever money these companies need to buy out all their competition. These newly acquired Silicon Valley corporate stooges then become front-men for even more weaponized military systems. This now includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr and Amazon.

Whether you know it or not, what is described above is already happening on a commercial level and soon will escalate to an overt military level while the innocent internet user is lulled into believing that he is simply having fun. Since most American and global businesses have some component on the internet, the militarization of the internet can be as powerful as the threat of global nuclear annihilation. Just imagine if the internet was turned off tomorrow permanently, never to return.

Most of what we think of as modern life would end, and many people would never recover. Economies would collapse, wars would rage, and many of us wouldnt know what to do or what to think. Modern life would collapse because the weapon of the internet already controls modern life. The life of the pygmy in Indonesia would go on uninterrupted, but American life would screech to a halt. We might not be able to reboot for years. This thought begs the question, How did we let this happen?

We, the users of the Internet and all things digital, were happy to use the new technology without asking basic questions like: Who actually owns the cables the Internet travels through? Can they turn it off? Why was so much power given over to the internet? At this point, is there an alternative or way out of this digital?

The answers to the questions above can be given, and there is a solution to this looming problem. But first we must see the internet and all of its wonders for exactly what they are weapons of mass social manipulation. When we can see the evil plans of those who have advanced this technology without the moral compass necessary to guide such powerful tools, then perhaps we can change these innovations from weapons into the information tools that they were intended to be. Information was supposed to free humanity, not imprison it in a virtual world where education is replaced by nonsensical entertainment, religion is replaced by consumerism, and the real world by virtual reality.

Not counting the social networking technology that was stolen, taxpayers of the United States, through the CIAs private venture capital company In-Q-tel, largely funded the open source program that became Facebook, Google, Intel, Apple, and Microsoft. These companies have weaponizedthese devices and systems against the citizens of the world.

We the People demand that these companies, and any other like them that have been financially seeded and funded by U.S. taxpayers, BE GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE AS A PUBLIC UTILITY and that the fictitious owners of these companies be prosecuted for patent infringement and/or theft.

In numerous articles fromAmericans for Innovation, the Anonymous Patriots have foundunequivocal evidence that IBMs Eclipse Foundation stole the original ideas and source code forGoogle and Facebook from Columbus, Ohio innovator Leader Technologies, Inc. through theirpatent attorney James P. Chandler III. Chandler was mentor of Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Robert Mueller, James Comey and John Podesta, to name but a few.

Chandler represented Leader Technologies, Inc. from the moment Leader realized their innovations were patentable in early 2000. But rather than file the patents immediately, Chandler suspiciously advised Leader to reduce to practice the invention before he would file them.

Hindsight shows that Chandler gave that advice in order to steal the actual source code when it was ready. Chandler bamboozled Leader into taking custody of a copy of the source code in 2002 which he immediately gave to the IBM Eclipse Foundation which then disseminated it to Zuckerberg/Facebook and other companies.

David J. Kappos, IBMs attorney (who also served later as Obamas Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Propertyand Director of theUnited States Patent and Trademark Officefrom 2009 to 2013) was also a student of Chandler at the time of the theft. This theft is one of if not the largest theft of intellectual property and trade secrets in history. It was clearly part of the the weaponization of these digital platforms.

For more information, please see our Citizens Intelligence Reports on these subjects:

.

Once the Silicon Valley high-tech dummy companies are established by stooges who are pre-selected for their willingness to incorporate military back doors into all of their products, the NSA/CIA/FBI uses the information gleaned from those companies to surveil every American through every devise that broadcasts a signal phone, computer, or any devise on the Internet of Things. Any intelligence agency can simply type in a query and access the metadata collected from every digital devise on the internet or that uses Wi-Fi or cell phone towers.

Among these spying tools is the RIOT (Rapid Information Overlay Technology]) program by Raytheon which leaked to the public on Nov. 16, 2010.[2]

This information is used to target individuals for consumer behaviors as well as DoD intelligence collection. If an internet user is targeted, there are hundreds of ways to attack the user and manipulate his/her buying habits, personal life-pattern choices, and even the way the user thinks.

The object of the intelligence is simple: Control the user. Social networks on the internet are military experiments in social manipulation. This is what is called PSYOPS or psychological operations.

Another program used to gather the Internet metadata is XKeyscore, a secret computer system first used by the NSAfor searching and analyzing global Internet data, which it collects on a daily basis. It enables almost unlimitedsurveillanceof anyone anywhere in the world.

The NSAs databank of collected communications allows its analysts to listen to the calls or read the emails of everything that the NSA has stored. It can also access your browsing histories or Google search terms that youve entered, and can alert them to any further activity that people connected to that email address or that IP address do in the future. XKeyscore consists of over 700 servers at approximately 150 sites where the NSA collects ALL data, on EVERYBODY, ALL THE TIME. [3]

Another component of NSA data collection is a program called Marina, adatabase and analysis tool set for interceptedinternetmetadata. The database stores metadata up to a year. The Marina metadata application tracks a users browser experience, gathers contact information/content and develops summaries of the target. It also has the capability to look back on the last 365 days worth of metadata seen bythe collection system, whether or not the target was tasked for collection. The stored metadata is mainly used forpattern-of-life analysis.

Once the data is collected and can be queried and targeted, the data is then stored in an NSA program called Sentient World Simulation (SWS). This program is developing a parallel to Planet Earth, with billions of individual nodes (prisons) to reflect every man, woman, and child.

SWS will be a synthetic mirror of the real world with automated continuous calibration with respect to current real-world information. It provides an environment for testing psychological operations so that military leaders can develop and test multiple courses of action to anticipate and shape behaviors of adversaries, neutrals, and partners, including U.S. citizens. SWS also mimics financial institutions, utilities, media outlets, and street corner shops. By applying theories of economics and human psychology, its developers can predict how individuals and mobs will respond to various stressors.

These four programs XKeyscore, Marina, RIOT, and Sentient World Simulation create some of the environments which intend to imprison and control those who willingly enter into the digital virtual reality of the internet. The internet is a WARZONE according to the people who created and weaponized it. Notice that the description of SWS says that even neutrals are the target of these systems.

No one is safe from the surveillance, monitoring, targeting, and attacks of Facebook, Twitter, Google and Alphabet. Just look how President Donald Trump uses Twitter as a weapon against the corporate media. There is a battle for information and every person is in the middle of the battle whether they like it or not.

The largest domestic military exercises in US history happened in 2015. They were entitled: Jade Helm 2015 Master the Human Domain. Just the very name of the exercise should show you where the U.S. military is focusing its time and energy on U.S. citizens. It also clearly tells us the intent of the U.S. military is to Master the Human Domain. So much for America freedom and liberty.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has controlled technological innovation since 1958 when it was created by the military-driven Department of Defense. DARPA is the father of war-fighting, both conventional and digital. DARPA was controlled by a man they called Yoda, who leads a group called the Highlands Forum that directs all military research and development the weaponization of every U.S. patent, over 4,000 of which have been stolen.

DARPAs history is littered with death and destruction. DARPA and In-Q-Tel, through the Highlands Forum, have driven research and development for the military that has cost American taxpayers trillions. This same technology is also shared with countries throughout the world through open source sharing.

The U. S. military wants our enemies to have the technology so that it can spy upon them and keep up with them in weaponry. If both sides have the same technology and weapons, then more money needs to be spent on bigger and better weapons continually and the military industrial complex thrives and gets richer.

Their business plan is simple: Make sure the customer has a need for military products and services by supplying their enemies with competing products and services, a business cycle that never stops and guarantees that the military industrial complex will always be selling something to someone.

In 1999, the CIA created its own venture capital investment firm, In-Q-Tel, to fund promising start-ups that might create technologies useful for intelligence agencies. The inspiration for In-Q-Tel came earlier, when the Pentagon set up its own private sector outfit. Known as the Highlands Forum, this private network has operated as a bridge between the Pentagon and powerful American elites outside the military since the mid-1990s. Despite changes in civilian administrations, the unregulated and unconstitutional private military-industry network around the Highlands Forum has become increasingly successful in dominating U.S. defense policy.

Basically, the CIA needed to launder all of its stolen gold and set up many companies to wash its illegal money. Why do you think they call the CIA The Company?

In-Q-Tel also uses a company called SAIC, the U.S. defense firm Science Applications International Corporation, which changed its name to Leidos in 2013, now operating SAIC as a subsidiary. SAIC/Leidos is among the top 100 largest defense contractors in the U..S, and works closely with the U.S. intelligence community, especially the NSA. The agency is the companys largest single customer and SAIC is the NSAs largest contractor.

Since 1973, Andrew Marshall has headed up one of the Pentagons most powerful agencies, the Office of Net Assessment (ONA), the U.S. defense secretarys internal think tank which conducts highly classified research on future planning for defense policy across the U.S. military and intelligence community. Out of Marshalls work in the ONA came an independent group called the Highlands Forum.

Marshall, now 93 years old, is the DoDs most elusive but one of its most influential officials. He created the Highlands Forum as a secret think tank for warfare innovation. All meetings are invitation-only, not open to the public, and no written records are kept, except for the snippets that participants reveal in their braggadocio and biographies, which are considerable.

Marshall created this type of secret platform so that no one could prove the Highland Forum exists or that it has the greatest power over high-tech warfare on the planet. Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, and Deputy Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, who are widely considered the hawks of the neoconservative movement in American politics, were among Marshalls star protgs.

The Highlands Forums influence on U.S. defense policy has operated through three main channels: its sponsorship by the Office of the Secretary of Defense; its direct link to Marshalls ONA; and its direct link to DARPA/In-Q-Tel and the Highlands Forum.

The Highlands Forum has served as a two-way influence bridge: on the one hand, for the shadow network of private contractors to influence the formulation of information operations policy across U.S. military intelligence; and on the other, for the Pentagon to influence what is going on in the private sector.

There is no clearer evidence of this than the instrumental role of the Forum in incubating the idea of mass surveillance as a mechanism to dominate information on a global scale.

Around 1994, the Highlands Group was chaired by Richard ONeill as an official Pentagon project at the appointment of Bill Clintons then defense secretary William Perry. In ONeills own words, the group would function as the Pentagons ideas lab.

Total participants in the DoDs Highlands Forum number over a thousand; although meetings and sessions largely consist of small closed workshop style gatherings of maximum 2530 people, bringing together experts and officials depending on the subject.

The Forum has inside access to the chiefs of the main U.S. surveillance and reconnaissance agencies, as well as the directors and their assistants at DoD research agencies, from DARPA to the ONA, and is deeply plugged into the Pentagons policy research task forces. In 2001, under the Total Information Awareness Program, President Bush secretly authorized the NSAs domestic surveillance of Americans without court-approved warrants.

From then on, Highlands Forum partner SAIC played a key role in the NSA roll out from inception. SAIC was then among a consortium receiving a $280 million contract to develop one of the NSAs secret eavesdropping systems.

This was also the year that the Bush administration drew up its Information Operations Roadmap. Describing the internet as a vulnerable weapons system, Donald Rumsfelds IO roadmap had advocated that Pentagon strategy should be based on the premise that the Department of Defense will fight the net as it would an enemy weapons system. The U.S. should seek maximum control of the full spectrum of globally emerging communications systems, sensors, and weapons systems, advocated the document.

As of 2006, SAIC had been awarded a multi-million dollar NSA contract to develop a big data-mining project called ExecuteLocus, despite the colossal $1 billion failure of its preceding contract, known as Trailblazer. Core components of Total Information Awareness were being quietly continued under new code names. The new surveillance program was then fully transitioned from DARPAs jurisdiction to the NSA.

ONeill said his job as Forum chairman was to scope case studies from real companies across the private sector, such as eBay and Human Genome Sciences, to figure out the basis of U.S. Information Superiorityhow to dominate the information marketand leverage this for what the president and the secretary of defense wanted to do with regard to transformation of the Department of Defense.

Every project of DARPA and In-Q-Tel have been weaponized before they are shared with the companies who then are the front for a DARPA sponsored company. DARPA and In-Q-Tel keep the encryption codes and build in backdoor keys so that they can always control the military weapons that have been released into the corporate world for public use. According to DARPA and In-Q-Tel, innovation and technological advances must first be a weapon that can be controlled by its makers the military.

The Highland Forum directed the creation of weapons of every sort that have been released into the corporate world and now control your laptop, phone, computer, and every other device with a bugged microprocessor inside. Intel microprocessors are found in most of our private digital devices and are, in fact, collecting intelligence for the Department of Defense, CIA, and NSA.

DARPA/In-Q-Tel and the Highlands Forum drive the process of continuous war from creating the devices that control all nuclear weapons to incubating the technologies that created the Internet, Intel microprocessers, Cisco routers, Google search engines, Facebook social networks, the IBM Internet of Things, cellphones, Microsoft software, MacAfee security software, and all other commercial and military warfare devices using their source code.

The Highlands Forum has been the headquarters of weaponizing military patents, intellectual property and trade secrets for five decades. Andrew Marshall has the blood of millions on his hands, yet he is considered an America hero instead of a warlord criminal.

Inside every Intel microprocessor is a smaller processor that lets Intel who works for the Department of Defense control every aspect of your computer remotely no matter what encryption codes or firewalls you use. All Intel microprocessor chips have a built-in backdoor that allows complete remote access to a PC through a second physical processor embedded within the main processor which has its own operating system embedded on the chip.

It is advertised as something that will allow IT professionals to remotely troubleshoot a PC. According to WikiLeaks, there is even secret diskless memory embedded on each chip that spies can use to store and retrieve data and instructions on each chip that is inaccessible to the user and supposedly only used for internal operations and maintenance. Intels latest x86 chips contain a secret backdoor with an embedded subsystem called the Management Engine(ME) that functions as a separate CPU and cannot be disabled, and the code is proprietary.

Even an encrypted hard drive can be monitored and controlled by the processor within the processor that already has your encryption key. There is more than just the NSA monitoring your calls, emails, and transmissions there is Intel Inside your computer. Intel collects intelligence but it also provides a back door to control, or turn off your computer at will just like it has been demonstrated that Cisco routers have a back door open to the NSA. A backdoor is a method of bypassing normal authentication in a cryptosystem used for securing unauthorized remote access to a computer.

Samsung calls the on/off feature Fake Off meaning the TV looks like it is off, but is merely pretending to be off.

I dont have anything to hide

But why shouldnt DARPA, through Intel, have open access to all your files and your computer? DARPA funded all the original development of microprocessors. Intel is a front for DARPA and the military efforts to create, control, and weaponize all digital platforms through cyber-warfare.

Just as the Internet was originally named after its founding group, DARPA, ARPARNET, microprocessors also were military creations that were permitted into the public market place only after the Department of Defense, and the CIA through In-Q-Tel, installed backdoors to control these powerful digital platforms of cyber warfighting.

Most semiconductor chips are made in Singapore, Taiwan, China, or Europe, but Intel designs and manufactures all their own chips in their own fabrication plants in America.

Since Bill Clinton in 1999,In-Q-Tel funds promising start-ups that might create technologies useful for intelligence agencies just as the Department of Defense had years earlier created DARPA. Both groups are controlled by the Highlands Forum. The Highlands Forum provides the ideas and funding for the scientific weaponization of new inventions through cooperation between the military and corporate contractors. Its biggest successes recently have been led by the CIAs In-Q-Tel in the development of high-tech network-based cyber-warfare.

The Highland Forum, DARPA, and In-Q-Tel are a secret multi-national high-tech think tank for inventing and controlling innovations that can be turned into weapons.In-Q-Tel is a bottomless source of funding for the CIA provided without any Congressional oversight.

Military and information technology experts gather at the Highlands Forum meetings to consider the impacts of the globalization of IT on U. S. interests and warfare. The Forum developed the idea of network-centric warfare which is now a top concern of the military and the corporations that serve it.

Since 1999, there efforts have been supplemented by other quasi-secret organizations including The IBM Eclipse Foundation and the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.

Once the ARPANET proved to be effective, routers were created that could handle exchanges between systems and computers. In 1998, virtually every internet exchange went through a Cisco router. In 2010, a researcher at IBM publicly revealed a flaw in a Cisco operating system that allowed a hacker to use a backdoor that was supposed to be available only to law enforcement agencies.

The intruder could hi-jack the Cisco device and use it to spy on all communications passing through it, including the content of e-mails, leaving products vulnerable to attack, particularly ubiquitous software programs like those produced by Microsoft. This backdoor put millions of customers and their private information at risk and jeopardized the security of electrical power facilities, public utilities, and transportation systems.

Publicly, Cisco blamed the government for not telling them about this vulnerability, but that was simply the pot calling the kettle black the government was blaming itself for the vulnerability, thus manipulating public opinion with a boldfaced deception.

Cisco has been accused of remotely monitoring users connectionsthrough Ciscos Linksys E2700, E3500, E4500 devices. They have been reported to be remotely updated to a firmware version that forces users to register for a cloud service which allows Cisco to monitor their network use and ultimately shut down the cloud service account and render the affected router unusable.

Cisco has also been accused of building a firewall backdoor developed by NSA into its routers. The Tailored Access Operations(TAO) unit and other NSA employees intercept servers, routers and other network gear being shipped to organizations targeted for surveillance and install covert firmware onto them before theyre delivered. These Trojan horse systems were described by an NSA manager as being some of the most productive operations in TAO because they pre-position access points into hard target networks around the world.

In fact, hiding in plain sight, Cisco registers the Dual_EC_DRBG NSA encryption back door key with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology on all products for export.) This key relies on an inbuilt flaw in the encryption standard which only the NSA knows and can exploit at will to break in to any hardware, software or firmware.

The U.S. intelligence community funded, nurtured and incubated Google as a military weapon to control information. Seed-funded by the NSA (DARPA) and CIA (In-Q-Tel & SAIC), Google was one among a group of private sector start-ups co-opted by U.S. intelligence to control information warfare.

In 1994 two PhD students at Stanford University, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, made their breakthrough on the first automated web crawling and page ranking application built upon the source code given to them by DARPA/In-Q-Tel. That application remains the core component of what eventually became Googles search service. Brin and Page had performed their work with funding from theDigital Library Initiative(DLI), a multi-agency program of the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA and DARPA.

The NSA wanted to control and monitor digital information, particularly the data flowing over the internet. With its millions of customers around the world, Google is effectively a directory of people using the Internet. It has users e-mail addresses and knows where they are physically located, and what they are searching for on the web. Google has a profile on every user.

The government can command that any company, including Google, to turn over that information, and it does so as part of the NSAs Prism program, which Google had been participating in for years by the time it signed the cooperative agreement with the NSA.

Under Googles terms of service, the company advises its users that it may share its personal information with outside organizations, including government agencies, in order to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues and to protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Google.

Googles terms of service go further, they actually assume control of all user information with clever sleight of legal hand: When you upload, submit, store, send or receive content to or through our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.

The NSA partnered with Google, just one of hundreds of companies who have been brought into the NSAs circle of secrecy. Starting in 2008, the agency began offering executives temporary security clearances, some good for only one day, so they could sit in on classified threat briefings. Several classified programs allow companies to share the designs of their products with the agency so it can inspect them for flaws and, in some instances, install backdoors or other forms of privileged access.

The NSA helps the companies find weaknesses in their products. But it also pays the companies not to fix some of them. Those weaknesses give the agency an entry point for spying or attacking foreign governments that install the products in their intelligence agencies, their militaries, and their critical infrastructure.

Essentially, the United States intelligence community funded, nurtured and incubated Google as part of a drive to dominate the world through control of information. Seed-funded by the NSA and CIA, Google was merely the first among a plethora of private sector start-ups co-opted by U.S. intelligence to retain information superiority.

The origins of this strategy trace back to Bill Clinton and the Highlands Forum which has functioned as a bridge between the U.S. government and elites across the business, industry, finance, corporate, and media sectors. The group has allowed some of the most powerful special interests in corporate America to systematically circumvent democratic accountability and the rule of law to influence government policies, as well as public opinion in the U.S. and around the world. The results have been catastrophic: mass surveillance and perception management amidst a permanent state of global war.

The U.S. intelligence community is implicated in nurturing todays web platforms for the precise purpose of utilizing the technology as a mechanism to fight the global information war- a war to legitimize the power of the few over the many. In reality, Google is a smokescreen behind which lurks the U.S. military-industrial complex.

Microsoft shares zero day vulnerabilities in its products with the NSA before releasing a public alert or a software patch. McAfee, the Internet security company owned by Intel, provides the NSA, the CIA, and the FBI with network traffic flows, analysis of malware, and information about hacking trends.

Companies that promise to disclose holes in their products only to the spy agencies are paid for their silence. To an extent, these openings for government surveillance are required by law. Telecommunications companies in particular must build their equipment in such a way that it can be tapped by a law enforcement agency presenting a court order.

By 2008, the NSA effectively resurrected the Total Information Awareness project with a focus on Internet data-mining via comprehensive monitoring of e-mails, text messages, and Web browsing. We also now know that the NSAs XKeyscore Digital Network Intelligence exploitation system was designed to allow analysts to search not just internet databases like emails, online chats and browsing history, but also telephone services, mobile phone audio, financial transactions and global air transport communicationsessentially the entire global telecommunications grid. Highlands Forum partner SAIC played a key role, among other contractors, in producing and administering the NSAs XKeyscore.

Ranking The Alien Franchise From Worst To Best – The Nerd Stash (press release)

IN LOVING MEMORY OF BILL PAXTON

Facing Terminators, Twisters, SHIELD, Predators and Aliens youll always be our ultimate badass

Its amazing to think a franchise like Alien has been able to survive this long. The first two films were so good that we kept watching bad Alien movie after bad Alien movie. Lets be honest, we all knew nothing would top the first two but we kept holding out for something good to come along. We Alien fans are like domestic abusive victims who never press charges despite the constant abuse we take time and time again. Despite all the heartache and knives to the back, we keep coming back for more no matter what. Both Alien & Aliens rank as two of my favorite filmsof all time. So I figured ranking this series seemed like a logical movegiven the recent Blu-Ray release of the franchises eighth installment, Alien: Covenant.

Now, Prometheus will also be included on this list as it does technically take place in the same universe and ties directly to Alien: Covenant. I dont really consider it an Alien film due to the lack of Xenomorphs. However, it does still take place in the world and given all the bad entries in this franchise, it will do me good to acknowledge one that was actually good. With that said, heres my definitive ranking of the Alien film franchise.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Do I even have to explain why this one is at the bottom of the list? Listen, I can forgive the first AVP, despite its many faults. At least it did have some entertainment value to it as well as some cool shots and a nice score. However, with Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the kiddie gloves are comin off. This trainwreck of a thing that somehow passes for a film was almost the tombstone in both the Alien and Predator franchises. This is a film that, I swear to god, pretty much prides itself on doing everything (and I mean everything) wrong. The setup is generic and god awful. An Alien/Predator hybrid runs lose in a suburban town Ive already lost you havent I?

Then a Predator comes to eradicate any evidence of the Predators and Aliens existing in said town because the giant Predator ship that came through the atmosphere, crash-landing on earth, went completely unnoticed for some reason. Pretty soon, the hybrid starts making his own alien children I guess thats a thing now. And, in the end, its up to a bunch of I Know What You Did Last Summer rejects to save the day as the Aliens and Predator do battle and the government drops a nuke on an innocent town because, why not? So with the positively retarded premise out of the way, lets move onto the acting. What acting? Every actor in this film is god-awful. Even Rescue Mes Steven Pasquale, who I know can act, wasstuck in this mess delivering a terrible performance.

However, the terrible performances were probably due to the garbage script. When actorsare forced to say lines like I taught this slut everything she knows, The government doesnt lie to people and What is this, The Titanic? Screw the women and children! Every man for himself, how well can you seriously portray that with any sincerity whatsoever. But, thats not even the biggest problem. The biggest problem is the directors, The Brothers Strause. Now, these two are visual effects masters and have proven that time and time again. A simple IMDB search will reveal that these two have serious credit in that area. However, these two cant direct worth a damn. They couldntget good performances out of their actors, nor couldthey frame a decent shot.

Ill give Paul W.S. Anderson credit, he at least made his AVP film look adequate. The action in this film is shot almost entirely in the dark. Therefore, when the Aliens are fighting the Predator, you can barely make out a thing going on. The whole film is like that. It was a terribly lit mess from start to finish. Another thing is that these brothers seem to have mistaken being suspenseful and horrifying with being disgusting and mean-spirited. Killing a kid, in the beginning, was a cheap shot on its own but having a pregnant women give birth to several new aliens was just despicable. As it stands,Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem is the worst film in this franchise by a clear mile and it needs a kick in the balls.

You could argue that Alien: Resurrection and Alien vs. Predator are worse than this and, from a technical standpoint, youre probably right. But, Im sorry, I despise this film to no end. It makes me wish Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem never existed just so I could put this one as the worst. Granted, I wish that movie didnt exist in principle but lets not get into semantics. I remember seeing Aliens when I was six years old. Yes, that happened. I have loved that movie ever since. Then years later, my father told me there was an Alien 3. I pleaded and pleaded with him to let me watch it. I wanted to know what happened to these characters. Where could they go with the story after that? What route would they take?

Well, be careful what you wish for would be the lesson learned in this scenario. Ripley is the lone survivor yet again, with Newt, Hicks, and Bishop being killed off in the very beginning. How dare you?! Fans were dying to know what happened to these characters. Instead, they just killed off the fan favorites from the last film in the very beginning. No rhyme or reason for them doing it, they just did it. I guess this was an attempt to bring back the feel of the first Alien but none of it works. So from the very beginning, this movie angered me. I popped it in as a kid in the best of moods. I was dying to see what would happen next and from the very first frame, this movie just pissed me off. It didnt get any better.

On this prison planet, we meet a bunch of throwaways, stock, generic, idiot prisoner characters who all look the same, making it very hard to form a connection with any of them. The only one who hasany personality outside of Crazy Lunatic is Clemens (Charles Dance) and he dies very early in the movie soooo why did you even bother with this location? None of these characters are likable and I dont care if they die. Thats not a good thing. However, Ripleysnot out of the woods yet as an alienbegins wreaking havoc upon the prisoners. Oh, and she has an alien queen inside of her. Okay, lets just analyze all of this.

How in the hell did an alien egg get aboard the Sulaco? The only reasonable explanation would be that The Queen laid it there at the end of Aliens but even that doesnt make sense. The sac allowingThe Queento laythe eggs was destroyed. Also, The Queen was hiding in the landing gear of the drop ship, not in the locker room of the Sulaco. No matter how you spin it, from the very beginning, this film makes zerosense. Oh and if there was one face-huggerthat impregnated a dog (an Ox in the Assembly Cut), where did the one that impregnated Ripley come from? I dont know, nor do I even care. Why? Because the writers clearly didnt.

Alien 3 was directed by David Fincher, an enormously talented director who went on to make The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Seven, and Gone Girl. He is an amazing talent and even he hates this film. Fincher doesnteven consider Alien 3 to be his movie. He even goes out of his way to make sure Alien 3 isnot brought up in interviews. He hated making the film so much that he oncesaid: No one hates Alien 3 more than I do. When the director of the movie hates his own work, you can probably interpret that as a bad sign. Overall, Alien 3 ishorribly lit, terribly shot and horrendously acted by people who drop the F-Bomb in every other sentence. Itis a spit in the face to the fans and marked the start of a dark period for this once promising franchise.

When Alien: Resurrectionwas first released, I actually enjoyed it. For the record, I was ten. Maybe it was because of the massive beating that Alien 3 put on my heart. That might have been a contributing factor. Watching Alien: Resurrection again as an adult, thats the most logical explanation I can come up with. Now, Alien: Resurrection may be a worse film than Alien 3 but I find it to be more entertaining. At least thiswasan over the top kind of awful that I couldlaugh at. Alien 3 hurt me in the worst possible ways as a fan. All Alien: Resurrection did was give me a punch to the gutand run away. It didnt feel good, but I can take it.

Ripley died at the end of Alien 3, taking the last remaining xenomorph (we think)with her. 200 years later, a military operation clones her to get the alien. Whydid they wait 200 years to do that? How did they manage to get a decent sample of Ripleys blood after 200 years? Why do they STILL want this thing knowing exactly what its capable of? How can you clone an alien when itsblood is literally concentrated acid? Why would they even bother keeping Ripleys clone alive after they already have the alien, knowing full well that shell more than likely try to stop them? Well, they dont care to explain it so why question it, right? Anyway, the cloning has side effects giving the Ripley clone some of the aliens DNA. Ripley now has acid for blood, can play basketball really well and my god, I dont care.

Of course, all the alien clones get lose, wreak havoc upon the crew and a group of space pirates and one of them is Winona Ryder and does anyone really care? The sin of Alien: Resurrection wasntthat it wasa generic, watered down version of Aliens. The sin of Alien: Resurrection wasthat it was a very stupidgeneric, watered down version of Aliens. And when I say stupid, I mean stupid. Theres a character in this movie that can ricochet bullets perfectly at any angle to hit a target. Yet, miraculously, he cant hit an alien when its literally 3 feet in front of him. Theres that scene where the villain (or I think he was the villain, its not really explained very well) threatened to blow an androids head off. Uh Go ahead, shes a-frickin robot, you idiot!

Theres a human/alien hybrid that wasso dumb looking, it made mewonder what was going through the minds of the people who designed it. Ripley (or her clone anyway), for no reason whatsoever, has this uncomfortable sexual chemistry with Winona Ryder. Yeah, not gonna lie, it sounds hot but it comes out of nowhere and just feels awkward. As Ripleys clone, it should still feel like Ripley and yet it feels nothing like her at all. It feels like a new overly sexualized character that Joss Whedon pulled out of his side-bin of wasted time. The ideas presented in Alien: Resurrection doesnt amount to anything in the end. The characters are completely forgettable and even Jean-Pierre Jeunets direction is lifeless and at complete odds with Whedons script. Its more entertaining than the last film but entirely forgettable.

Sigourney Weaver asks a very good question in this film; Who do I have to f**k to get off this boat?

The real question is Who do I have to f**k to get another decent film in this series?

Let me make this clear; Alien vs. Predator is a bad movie. However, for me, thats all it is. It doesnt fill me with as much rage as it used to. Maybe its that the sequel to this was so horrendous that this film just seemed better by comparison but I digress. Paul W.S. Anderson directed this spin-off of the Alien & Predator franchises, wanting to do it because he was a devout fan. Honestly, for as much as I rip intothis director (you can read what I had to say about his Resident Evil franchise here), it was rather obvious re-watching this film that he poured his heart and soul into it. Hes clearly a fan of bothfranchises and he clearly gave it his all. Its not a good movie but its important for me to recognize effort when I see it.

Paul W.S. Anderson not only went back to basics with guys in suits and animatronics, he also casted the film the same way Ridley Scott and James Cameron had casted their Alien films. He casted a group of wonderful actors but not actors that were too well known, Lance Hendricksons return to the franchise being the one notable exception. However, the thing that Anderson doesnt emulate well from that choice is that those films gave us time to care about their characters. I loved Captain Dallas and his crew. I loved the Colonial Marines in Aliens. The only character were really given anytime to care about is Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan). Not that the other actorsare badbut the lack of depth to their characters doesnt help them any.

Almost every timewe get a moment where a character could rise above stock and generic, theyre killed off and were left not really caring. So, yeah, you have good actors but we dont really care about their characters and its a massive letdown. The location of Antarctica is interesting for an Alien movie. I get the sense that Anderson was trying to create the enclosed, claustrophobic feel of the first film. To his credit, a pyramid is hidden under Antarctica that constantly shifts around is pretty awesome and it does lend the film some nice atmosphere. However, while good for an Alien movie, it makes no sense for a Predator movie. Predators have always shown up in areas of immense heat because they can only see in infrared. Why would they build a pyramid in the coldest place on earth?

Speaking of infrared, that leads to another plot-hole for fans of the second movie. In Aliens, its clearly established that the xenomorphsappear on motion scanners but NOT infrared. This is why the marines in that film werent able to see them in the walls. I will give him this though when the aliens and predators are fighting each other, its pretty awesome. That shot of the xenomorph tail impaling the predator out of nowhere is beautiful. So I guess thats something you can take away from this movie. It featuressome cool fights between the two title monsters but they are sadly too few and far between. Also, when you had the predator teaming up with the Lathan for the Sleigh Ride Of Friendship, you lost me.

Alien vs. Predator is not a good movie but its certainly not terrible. It has its entertaining moments and I can see why its a guilty pleasure to some. However, it doesnt really matter since both this film and AVP:R have been wiped from canon by Prometheus.I apologize to anyfans of this movie but I for one am grateful.

Yeah, while I had really high hopes for this one, Alien: Covenant still left quite a bit to be desired. It suffered from a couple of the problems Prometheus had only worse. Furthermore, it also revealed somenew revelations about the xenomorphs that werejust bizarre. Lets just start with the positives. The actors wereactually quite great. Even Danny McBride, who wasnormally known for his obnoxious comedy antics, gavea very grounded and realistic performance for his character. It was actually quite impressive to see him do a role like this so well. Michael Fassbender, who played dual roles this time around, was the highlight of the film, although I dont think there was any ever doubt of that.

The visuals were outstanding. If Alien: Covenant doesnt get at least a nomination for best cinematography at next years Oscars, there is something very wrong. Lastly, Ridley Scotts direction was top notch. Much like he did with Alien, this man tookevery opportunity to build tension and horror every chance he got. However, the good stuff stops there, unfortunately. First and foremost, the way they revealed the fate of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) was beyond pitiful. I loved this character and knowing that she went out in such a lazy manner was so disappointing. The characters in this movie are just dumb. I mean, if you thought the characters in Prometheus were stupid, you will be piningfor them after this movie.

One character, in particular, wasso dumb, she wouldntlet a woman out of a room who she knewfull well wasnt infected. Then she proceeded to shoot things in an area where she knewgas waslocated. Cmon, really? No one, I dont care how much danger theyre in, is this stupid. Katherine Waterston gavea good performance in the lead role of Daniels but her character might as well have beennamed Ripley-Light. Ridley Scott and the writers were so preoccupied trying to make this character so much like Ripley that they forgot to give Daniels an identity of her own. She has her husband die in the beginning (a character we never get to meet) and shes sad for like ten whole minutes. Why do I care? Give me one reason?

Oh, and why do they go to this planet instead of the one they were heading to? Because they were too lazy to get back intocryo-sleep. Im not even making a joke, that is literally what happens. It is such a dumb and lazy excuse, its hard to believe that John Logan helped write it. But the worst thing about the movie is the reveal of the xenomorphs creation. David, the android from Prometheus, killed the engineers and began experimenting with creating life. He used Dr. Shaw as the first host to create his little monstrosities. So, basically what the film is saying is that the Aliens in a series called Alien arent really Aliens???? REALLY??? Im sorry, I cannot be the only one who saw the flaw there.

However, despite all of its problems, Alien: Covenant manages to be entertaining enough to earn its number 5 spot. Believe me, I respect Ridley Scott wholeheartedly for trying new things with this otherwise dead as a doornail franchise. The writing isnt that great but it has the ambition that I do admire. The characters are stupid but the acting is pretty damngood. The visuals and the scares are really enough to carry the movie, even if it does resort to slasher movie cliches in one or two scenes. The shower scene I mean, Cmon Ridley Scott, youre above that.

Yes, I actually really loved Prometheus. Say what you will about it, and I know many will, but after Alien 3, Resurrection and two AVP films, Prometheus represented a welcome change of pace for the series. That change of pace dropped the ball a bit with Alien: Covenant, but I digress. As I said, I dont really consider it an Alien film per-say but for what it is, it does its job really well. This film takes place years before Alien as the Weyland Corporation sends a team to investigate the potential discovery of alien life. Instead of the film focusing on the xenomorphs from the other films, it instead focuses on The Engineers. Remember the space jockey in the chair from Alien? That was an engineer. What did they engineer? Us, apparently.

Prometheus raises great questions about the beliefs of human existence and focuses on themes of faith vs knowledge and religion vs. science. It is through and through a proper science fiction film that, in terms of its story, does what a science fiction film should do. It immerses its audience into its world and gradually builds on itself with ideas and intrigue rather than explosions and fan service. The acting is great, the themes are provocative and interesting and the visuals are spectacular. Even if I hated this film, Id watch it just for the visuals. Over the years, Ive come across many people who do hate this movie and for the most part, its for one of two reasons.

The biggest complaint I hear about this film is how dumb some of the characters are. If Im being perfectly honest, I actually have a similar issue with the film. Some of the characters in this film make incredibly dumb decisions. For example, how does the guy who created the mapping equipment get lost? Hes the navigator and he got himself lost? Was that supposed to be ironic because its actually quite dumb? There are a few moments like this throughout the film that really doesnt add up and it doesnt help that most of the characters in themselves are pretty forgettable. Aside from Shaw, Weyland, Vickers, and David, the characters in Prometheus are very one-note and bland.

The second complaint I hear about this movie is that it was advertised as an Alien prequel and wasnt. I certainly understand these frustrations as the same thing annoyed me after my first viewing of the film. However, as Ive been saying, its better to not think of Prometheus as an Alien film. It doesnt setup the first movie and doesnt contain any xenomorphs. What gets Prometheus through is not being a film in a franchise but rather its own unique animal. We should actually be grateful that a director like Ridley Scott can still make good sci-fi like this. The story takes center stage. Its a story-driven movie that kind of puts most of its central characters on the back-burner. It may contain a barrage of bland characters but its an original story and a great piece of filmmaking. We should be glad it exists.

While none of the film sequels ever really reach the gravitas of the original two films, this video game managed to do it all too well. My god, why wasnt THIS made into a movie? Yeah, making the main character into Ripleys daughter was a bit cheap but its still better than predator pyramids, space pirates or aliens invading a suburban town. Those things happened and we let them happen. Alien: Isolation is a video game that will make your heart beat out of your chest at every corner. It brilliantly brings back the claustrophobic atmosphere of the first film but still maintains a well thought out story that works as canon with the series in its own right.

Alien: Isolation takes place 15 years after the events of Alien, with Ellen Ripley still many years from being found in the events of Aliens. It sees Amanda Ripley, Ellen Ripleys daughter, looking for closure about the disappearance of her mother. When shes told that the flight recorder of the Nostromo has been found, she goes to retrieve it to find said closure. However, what she finds instead is a ship with a body count and no communications. With an alien on board, Amanda must fight for survival while also searching for the truth about her missing mother. It does feel a bit coincidental that Ripleys daughter would fight aliens just like her mother but when the character is this well-developed and cool, its really hard to care about these things.

The gameplay is fantastic and feels like a classic Resident Evil game in many respects. It throws many twists and turns and ultimately feels like a true sequel to the original film. Only now, you get to play as the main character and can attack the alien with either a revolver, a shotgun or a flamethrower, depending on how far youve progressed in the game. Throwing those pipe bombs helps a bit too. Also, like the original film, the Alien can literally pop up anywhere, keeping the player on their guard constantly. The graphics are beautiful to look at and I cant commend the design team enough. The Alien alone gives me chills whenever it appears.

But where the game really succeeds is with its main character. Amanda Ripley isnt her mother but what character in this series is? If anything, she feels exactly like Ellen Ripley from the first film. Shes just a woman trying to survive only Amanda is given a bit more depth as the truth about her mother is her driving force through the whole game story. Yes, I said it, if were comparing Amanda Ripley in Alien: Isolation to Ellen Ripley in Alien, Amanda is more developed and more interesting. Send me the hate mail at your leisure. Alien: Isolation not only gave this series back its dignity but gave us another Alien story the fans could be proud of. It remains one of the best survival horror games Ive ever had the privilege of playing and I highly recommend it.

Its sad that movies cant live up to the original two films but a video game can. What happened?

Look, lets not beat around the bush here, Ridley Scott can do whatever he wants with the Alien franchise. After all, he is the one who started it all. But no matter what entry he makes and no matter how many times he tries to capture the magic of this horror masterpiece, he never will. Alien remains, to date, my favorite horror film of all time. Many claims that its technically a science-fiction film, a statement I respectfully disagree with. Aliens is a science-fiction film. Alien is a haunted house in space. It contains sci-fi themes and situations for sure but it focuses mainly on claustrophobic horror to scare its audience.

Alien sees a group of truckers in space, awakened early from their cryogenic stasis to answer a mysterious distress call. They land on a planet only for one of their crew members, Kane played by John Hurt (R.I.P. good sir), to come back on board with some sort of parasite attached to his face. It later comes off and seemingly dies. However, right before they head back into cryo-sleep, an alien bursts its way out of Kanes chest. Now the creature is loose on the ship, growing rapidly and ready to feed on anything in its path. In space, no one can hear you scream.

What Alien does so effectively is its ability to make you care about the characters involved. Ridley Scott spends about 45 minutes on actual character build up before we even see the Alien. Right off the bat, we know these characters and can identify with them so that when the alien gets loose, we actually care about their survival. Most horror movies these days resort to the same bad cliches, ultimately resulting in inferior products that simply arent scary. Alien doesnt resort to cheap thrills, CGI or jump scares and relies solely on the likability of its characters and its intense claustrophobic atmosphere.

The look of the Alien, designed by H.R. Giger, is enough to scare anyone. The fact that it wasnt some random CGI creation and instead of a man in a suit, only makes the intense moments feel that much more real because the creature is really there on the screen. The actors arent reacting to anything. This thing is right in front of their eyes. Ridley Scott masterfully shoots most of the Aliens scenes in darkness, making it seem like a real creature instead of someone in a suit. But even in the darkest scenes, the lighting is so perfect that you can still make out everything happening. This thing could be around any corner and you never know when it will pop up next.

The actors involved are all perfectly casted. John Hurt, Ian Holm, Yaphet Kotto, Harry Dean Stanton, Veronica Cartwright and Tom Skerritt are all wonderful. This film even launched Sigourney Weaver into superstardom, playing the beloved character Ellen Ripley. Its funny to note that while Ripley has become the iconic heroine of the Alien franchise, Ripley wasnt built up as the main character in this film. In fact, none of the characters were. Every one of them got equal screen time, making it harder to deduce who was going to live and who was going to die. Thats expert filmmaking in my book, especially when compared to most of the other films in this franchise.

Yeah, yeah, Im sure most of you saw this coming but, when you really think about it, how could Aliens not top this list? Aliens represent one of the greatest sci-fi action films of all time, as well as one of the best sequels ever made (if not the best). Not only does it further the story of the first film, it completely switches genres from horror to science fiction and never once does it ever feel out of place. The Aliens themselves are as horrifying as ever and director James Cameron takes the first film and cranks the amazement up to 10 with intense scenes drama, action, and horror.

57 years after Ripleys incident with the Alien, she is found in cryo-sleep and awaken to an unknown future. Her daughter is dead, he reputation is in the gutter, not a soul believes her about the alien and shes left with a series of horrifying nightmares that plague her every night. Unfortunately, LV-426, the planet from the first film, has been long since colonized and Ripleys former employers have lost contact with the colony. Wanting to face her demons, Ripley reluctantly goes on a mission with a group of space marines to the planet, only to discover that it is crawling with Aliens. With little time left, Ripley and the marines must try to escape the planet by any means necessary.

Where to even begin with this movie. James Cameron obviously took a note from Ridley Scotts playbook, having the first act focus on the characters, leading up to the aliens appearing in the second act. Cameron really focuses a lot on the characters and makes even the ones who dont last long memorable and likable. It would have been all too easy to make them generic commandoes but thankfully Cameron didnt go that route. No we had Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Joss Whedon for that. Bill Paxton is hilarious as Private Hudson (may he rest in peace) and gets some of the more memorable lines in the movie. Theres a nice subplot with Ripley not trusting the android, Bishop (Lance Hendrickson), due to events from the first film. Michael Biehn as Hicks even has some nice moments with Ripley.

However, its really the mother/daughter-like relationship between Ripley and Newt (Carrie Henn) that remains the heart of the film. Many people forget that Ripley wasnt really a badass in the first film. She had the personality of one but physically she was no different than the other crew members. James Cameron gradually makes Ripley more badass as the film goes on as she protects this little girl from peril and learns to be a mother once more. This is a character who has been broken and stripped of everything and she literally has to fight, not just for this little girl, but for the ability to sleep at night. Newt herself is a fascinating character, a nine-year old girl who survived for months in a compound with aliens, without being seen or captured. God, I hate Alien 3 for killing her. Shame!

When the Aliens do show up, its in a gloriously creepy and atmospheric setting that puts the marines in absolute peril. The scenes of these aliens coming out of nowhere are beautifully shot and the action is some of the best ever put to film. Cameron never lets up on the tension and it only keeps rising to a climax where Ripley is forced to have a stand-off with the bitch herself; The Alien Queen. Yes, I know that no one could survive crawling out of an airlock but heres a secret I DONT CARE! It looks amazing and Ill allow it. Also, let us not forget about James Horners epic score. Bishops Countdown still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. In the end, in many cases, you cant beat the original. Aliens is one sequel that certainly did.

When Will People in US demand of their cities, states, nation, the end of criminal and murderous groups? Fn When? – The Moderate Voice

Im sad to ask the fn question again: when? Seriously, when? Weve a president who carries on about gangs from El Salvador while ignoring the offal sink hole of racist murderous groups right under his nose. In fact is days late to condemn them, and then with words written for him to say, as though he is a puppet instead of a president. Conviction of character and purpose shows in action, relentless and daily actions of efficacy, not just words.

Thus far, Trump has no effective containment actions for those who praise him for raising up white dominance, violent groups who say they are just following Trumps campaign promises to rid the nation of whomever. None.

We have been taught to think its up to wise officials to contain and clip the wings of the openlyviolent right which is anything but right, as in righteous. Wise official is likely an oxymoron.

No.

Up to us to go visit senators, congress people, state and local city councils, town hall, DEMANDING RELENTLESSLYof the officials to end this nicey-nice with murderous groups. McVey the publicity hound, was not enough with his murder of children at day care in Oklahoma, to raise us into action relentless? Apparently not. Murder of church goers, murders in mosque in the US, not enough to get butts out of chairs to take a vision of better to those elected topower.

The list is long of atrocities committed by violent groups based on race, while civil liberties union continues to take and advocate for cases of violent groups so they can have free speech and venue.

Its madness. It is not 1984. It is 54fswo79re, a world we cannot survive, even by continuing to bow to distortions of 1st and second amendments. You gonna die if you submit, you gonna die if you dont submit.

That is no world; that is the freaking prison planet.

Here is an article I wrote ten years ago at themoderatevoice.

Sorrow that we have not come further, except after people are murdered left and right. Yeah, turner diaries, yeah, waco, yeah all the rest. I get it, for timothy mcvey the white supremicist mass murderer said it: oh yeah, collateral damage the deaths of the innocent he meant, he could not be bothered to care about. Turnabout apparently comes true. Over and over. Until the people of faith and conscience and love rise up fiercely for far far better, including constant containment of violent criminals and those who attempt to recruit the underaged.

DR. CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTS, Managing Editor of TMV, and Columnist

He was my friend and the self-called white supremacistsmurdered him.

Alan Berg; (1934-1984) In the late 1970s and early 80s, he was aDenver radio talk-show host who was THE model for imitators (Limbaugh, et al) yet to come. in this way but in service of the downtrodden instead of uplifting tyrants Alan was acerbic, witty, odd and fat with opinion which included hanging up on callers and calling out guests, the likes of which included well known ones. After several public fracases on air, his bosses gave him space and some talking to.

But, he came back, not chastened, but less intent on seemingly taking pride in stripping the bark off saplings on-air he still discussed homophobia, rotten politicians, cowardly people who attacked the weak. and there was one thing in particular that he wouldnt back away from talking about that is, chastising, condemning and putting down.

He didntpick on the poor, the frail, the undefended: He chose instead, Roderick Elliot and Frank Bud Farell, who wrote The Death of the White Race and Open Letter to the Gentiles, and other people from the white supremacist groups the groups who openly espoused hatred of blacks, Jews, leftists, homosexuals, Hispanics, other minorities and religious groups.

One such group known as The Order apparently felt threatened by his on-airscathings of their reasons for being. Some think it was when he took out after Colonel Jack Mohr, a member of the Christian Patriots Defense League, that Berg was targeted by The Order.

Berg, a tall (62?) Jewish man who made some folks hopping mad but whom others saw as a courageous hero well, Alan loomed around Denver and was greeted by name on most any street he chose to walk down. Off-air he was kind to many; a mans man, he mentored others in radio. Gave much. Those of us who knew him from his earlier days as a fine custom shirt merchant knew him as an honest, funny man who walked slumped over like Ichabod Crane and had a haircut more reminiscent of the long haystack worn by Herman and the Hermits.

Others knew him as the once-workaholic Chicago criminal trial lawyer who started having bad seizures and then developed severe alcoholism. His wife Judith brought him here to get help. Help he got. Never drank again. And when he finally had a seizure he couldnt recover from, the docs discovered a brain tumor and removed it. He was finally at rest from the seizures that had assaulted him for years.

Eventually he worked his way up in talk radio, setting the airwaves to smoking and so it went and so it went.

He took all kinds of death threats and hate mail for his on-air comments about white supremacist groups.

Alan was an eccentric, so tall a man, yet he drove a classic VW Bug, one of his pride-and-joy-toys.

One June night in 1984, Berg, now age 50 years old, left the radio station, folded himself into his car, took himself and his now ex-wife, Judith, out to dinner, dropped her off and drove home. It was a sweet June night, the temperature is warm this time of year from winds that come down off the Rockies. In June, the sky literally is often turquoise blue with pink clouds at 9:30 PM, just after sundown

No doubt just that weather alone made him feel great driving. He pulled into his own driveway. Got out of the car. The murderers leapt; Alan was massacred in the driveway, 13 bullets to body and face. Gone.

_________________________

Members of the white supremacist group the Silent Brotherhood, affiliated with The Order, had waited in a car across the street, waiting for Berg to come home.

There was an oddity, an irony:

Some were sure the killers were acting out in reality, a fictional scene found in a novel published before Bergs death. The book was entitled, The Turner Diaries written by Neo-Nazi leader William L. Pierce under the pseudonym Andrew MacDonald. In the book, an unnamed Jewish radio talk show host is shot to death as he steps from his car in his own driveway.

But these two men who had sat in their car waiting for Alan Berg, would have a novel fate rather than a novelistic one. Former Denver resident and Klansman David Lane was convicted in U.S. District Court in Denver as the driver. Bruce Pierce of the Order was convicted of shooting Berg topdeath. Pierce is serving a 252-year sentence. David Lane is serving a 190-year sentence.

That is, David Lanewasserving a 190 year sentence. But not any more. He died in Federal prison in Indiana yesterday [2007]. From what? One more irony to date: Epilepsy complications likely cause said Vigo County Coroner, Roland Rohr.

An autopsy found no signs of foul play in the death of David Lane, 68, and linked it to his epilepsy, a neurological condition affecting the nervous systemconsistent with a silent seizure causing this death, said the Coroner.

Im an outlet for frustration. Im a focal point for them to dislike something other than what they, in fact, dislike. Its always someone elses fault, not theirs. Ive never seen so many victims in my life Alan Berg

CODA

Lane and his cronies called Alan on air lots. Ive heard the tapes. Berg would always put them in their place, mocking them, making them look stupid, and they knew it. They couldnt argue their case, or their cause, so they silenced by murder, the man could argue his, the only way they knew howto silence others: physical attack. Darren Copeland KOA,

May 29, 2007

[Alan Bergs] memory haunts many people, even those who never heard him on the radio, because his death could be read as a message: Be cautious, be prudent, be bland, never push anybody, never say what you really think, offer yourself as a hostage to the weirdos even before they make the first move. These days, a lot of people are opposed to the newfound popularity of trash television, and no doubt they are right, and the hosts of these shows are shameless controversy-mongers. But at least they are not intimidated. Of what use is freedom of speech to those who fear to offend? Roger Ebert

The Order committed a number of violent crimes during its reign of terror, including the 1984 murder of Denver talk show host Alan Berg, various bank robberies that netted the group millions of dollars, and the bombing of a synagogue The Order is now defunct. ADL Report 1999

There is now a group called The New Order. ADL 1999, 2004

“Well then, the actors are all assembled, the most interesting experiment in the universe can finally enter it’s main phase!” Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission, unnoficially known as Dragon Ball Heroes: Prison Planet is an animated adaptation of the Prison Planet saga of the video game Dragon Ball Heroes, created as promotional material for the game. It was only released in Japan. It is set some time after the Universe Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super.

A conversation about the article below: Patent Theft Steals From All Americans.A 530-page free PDF book with hundreds of hyperlinked documents is available here: Facebook CorruptionHow the US Military Control of Social Media Has Already Imprisoned You and Thrown Away the Key Long before we could imagine the evil of the elite pedophile globalists of the world, they had already started locking down planet earth. (Ask yourself how it is that a government entity can hold private companies and enjoy private profits outside of Congressional oversight, but we digress.) Google, Cisco, Facebook, Twitter, and most other search engines and social networks all run on allegedly open source code given out by DARPA/In-Q-Tel to universities and corporations to develop. For more information, please see our Citizens Intelligence Reports on these subjects: . 16, 2010.[2] This information is used to target individuals for consumer behaviors as well as DoD intelligence collection. [3] Another component of NSA data collection is a program called Marina, adatabase and analysis tool set for interceptedinternetmetadata. I dont have anything to hide But why shouldnt DARPA, through Intel, have open access to all your files and your computer?

IN LOVING MEMORY OF BILL PAXTON Facing Terminators, Twisters, SHIELD, Predators and Aliens youll always be our ultimate badass Its amazing to think a franchise like Alien has been able to survive this long. Warning: Spoilers Ahead Do I even have to explain why this one is at the bottom of the list? So how would you rank this series?

May 30, 2007 DR. CLARISSA PINKOLA ESTS, Managing Editor of TMV, and Columnist He was my friend and the self-called white supremacistsmurdered him. In June, the sky literally is often turquoise blue with pink clouds at 9:30 PM, just after sundown No doubt just that weather alone made him feel great driving. He pulled into his own driveway. Got out of the car. The murderers leapt; Alan was massacred in the driveway, 13 bullets to body and face. Gone. _________________________ Members of the white supremacist group the Silent Brotherhood, affiliated with The Order, had waited in a car across the street, waiting for Berg to come home. There was an oddity, an irony: Some were sure the killers were acting out in reality, a fictional scene found in a novel published before Bergs death. Ive never seen so many victims in my life Alan Berg CODA Lane and his cronies called Alan on air lots. Ive heard the tapes. Berg would always put them in their place, mocking them, making them look stupid, and they knew it. They couldnt argue their case, or their cause, so they silenced by murder, the man could argue his, the only way they knew howto silence others: physical attack. Darren Copeland KOA, May 29, 2007 [Alan Bergs] memory haunts many people, even those who never heard him on the radio, because his death could be read as a message: Be cautious, be prudent, be bland, never push anybody, never say what you really think, offer yourself as a hostage to the weirdos even before they make the first move. These days, a lot of people are opposed to the newfound popularity of trash television, and no doubt they are right, and the hosts of these shows are shameless controversy-mongers. But at least they are not intimidated. Of what use is freedom of speech to those who fear to offend? Roger Ebert The Order committed a number of violent crimes during its reign of terror, including the 1984 murder of Denver talk show host Alan Berg, various bank robberies that netted the group millions of dollars, and the bombing of a synagogue The Order is now defunct. Under the 'fair use' rule of copyright law, an author may make limited use of another author's work without asking permission. Fair use is based on the belief that the public is entitled to freely use portions of copyrighted materials for purposes of commentary and criticism. The fair use privilege is perhaps the most significant limitation on a copyright owner's exclusive rights.

Fair use as described at 17 U.S.C. Section 107:

"Notwithstanding the provisions of section 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phono-records or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:

  • (1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for or nonprofit educational purposes,
  • (2) the nature of the copyrighted work,
  • (3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole, and
  • (4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work."
