Sestak Scandal Lives–
According to the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, Bill Clinton has now denied that he acted as a go-between with Joe Sestak and the White House on a job offer to get out of the primary for the US Senate seat in Pennsylvania.
In late-May, White House Counsel Robert Bauer released a memo claiming that “The White House Chief of Staff enlisted the support of former President Clinton who agreed to raise with Congressman Sestak options of service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board. Congressman Sestak declined the suggested alternatives, remaining committed to his Senate candidacy.”
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) responded, “You know the saying there’s three sides to every story, well, now we have it. Admiral Sestak has repeatedly said he was offered a ‘job’ in an effort to obtain his withdrawal from the Senate Primary. The White House has said ‘efforts were made in June AND July” in said job as well as the admission that they ‘enlisted’ former President Clinton to make the overture. President Clinton says he ‘never tried to get Sestak out of the race.’ Who’s telling the truth?”
Somebody’s lying.
No wonder then at a rally in late May President Bill Clinton refused to comment on the non-paying job offer made to Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA) on behalf of the Obama White House. Clinton was asked several times, but totally ignored the questioner.

This was at a rally for pro-Obamacare Senator Blanched Lincoln (D-Ark.). The press was kept several feet away from Clinton and was not allowed to even approach him.
We knew somebody was lying months ago. The explanation never made sense. After all, Sestak was reportedly not eligible for the position that was supposedly offered. Now, Clinton is backing away from the controversy. This could get interesting… just in time for the November election.
