Exclusive: Israel Warns US Jews: Iran Could Strike Here

Israeli facilities in North America — and around the world — are on high alert, according to an internal security document obtained by ABC News that predicted the threat from Iran against Jewish targets will increase. “We predict that the threat on our sites around the world will increase … on both our guarded sites and 'soft' sites,” stated a letter circulated by the head of security for the Consul General for the Mid-Atlantic States, Eliran Avitan. Guarded sites refers to government facilities like embassies and consulates, while 'soft sites' means Jewish synagogues, and schools, as well as community centers like the one hit by a terrorist bombing in Buenos Aires in 1994 that killed 85 people

What Will Happen if US Caves to Muslim Pressure to Change Laws – A Warning – Video

30-10-2011 18:49 Here’s what happens if this country goes the way of Britain and, for instance, caves in to Muslim pressure to change our laws and customs to suit new arrivals, such as is threatened in Minneapolis. There it is Somali-Muslims who want to dictate rules about who can be carried in a taxicab, and who taxi drivers must carry or lose their license. In Britain this creeping Islamization has hit the public schools, according to a new study, where teachers are avoiding some subjects in history, such as the Holocaust.

Israeli PM wins primary race, offers settler grants

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won the leadership race of his Likud Party over his ultranationalist rival early today, hours after his government approved new incentives to entice people to move to West Bank settlements. While Netanyahu was expected to win the leadership race decisively, a relatively strong showing by his ultranationalist rival, Moshe Feiglin suggested that many Likud voters consider the prime minister too soft on peacemaking with the Palestinians

Israeli gov't offers incentives to settlers

(AP)  JERUSALEM — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government has made two overtures to West Bank settlers in the run-up to his party's leadership race on Tuesday: It's offering financial incentives to encourage people to move to settlements and opening the door to legalizing rogue settler outposts. The gestures appear to be aimed at appeasing hardline elements in the ruling Likud Party who are sympathetic to settlers. While Netanyahu is expected to win the leadership race, a relatively strong showing by his ultranationalist rival would suggest many Likud voters consider the prime minister too soft on peacemaking with the Palestinians

Iran: Nuclear inspectors can extend their visit

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's official news agency reports that the country's foreign minister has said that inspectors from the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog can extend an ongoing visit to the Islamic Republic. The Monday report by IRNA says Ali Akbar Salehi told Turkish TRT TV in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that the three-day visit by International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors that started Sunday can be extended “if they desire.” The remarks appear to be part of a show of flexibility and transparency by Tehran during the IAEA inspection tour, which could greatly influence the direction and urgency of U.S.-led efforts to rein in Iran's ability to enrich uranium.

Jewish settlers defy Migron evacuation plans

MIGRON OUTPOST, West Bank: Religious nationalists living in a rogue settlement on a wind-swept West Bank hilltop are defying the Israeli government’s plans to evict them, setting up a showdown that has threatened to rip the ruling coalition apart. The outcome could hurt Israel internationally should it choose to again flout its 2003 promise to Washington to knock down Migron and other unauthorized settler enclaves built on land Palestinians claim for a future state. The government says the settlers of Migron – 100 adults and 200 children living in a jumble of cramped trailers – seized the territory unlawfully in 2001 from private Palestinian landowners

Libya says will strike back if Kadhafi men behind unrest

Libya said it will strike back if diehards of slain dictator Moamer Kadhafi were behind deadly clashes in his former bastion of Bani Walid , where confusion reigned Tuesday as to who was behind the unrest. Five people were killed and several wounded on Monday when fighting erupted in the town, which local officials said began with an attack by supporters of Kadhafi against a base of former rebels. Those claims were strongly denied by Interior Minister Fawzi Abdelali late Monday, while an AFP correspondent who visited the town the same day said it was unclear who controlled it

Tel Aviv emerges as top gay tourist destination

By ARON HELLER Associated Press TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) – Tel Aviv has long been a gay paradise, one of the few places in the Middle East where gays feel free to walk hand-in-hand and kiss in public. Now, thanks to its balmy climate, vibrant nightlife and a creative government-backed branding campaign, the city has become one of the world's top gay tourist destinations. As always in the Middle East, however, conflict is never far away, and some critics have accused Israel of using such tolerance as a way to divert attention from alleged transgressions against Palestinians
